Miffy was born in 1955. The Bruna family was on holiday at the seaside resort of Egmond aan Zee. While they were on holiday, Dick Bruna would tell his oldest son bedtime stories about a white rabbit who lived in the garden of the holiday home. The rabbit was later the inspiration for miffy. Miffy is already 50 years old, but in her books she stays forever young; a child's bunny. She has two funny, straight ears, always looks cheerful with her black eyes, and has many exciting adventures, as you can tell from her book titles. All of the miffy books are about the ordinary things in the lives of little bunnies and children.
